UFA Update 0.6.5
First and foremost, this update is not compatible with the last; you have to delete your old version in C/C for it to work properly.
With that out of the way, I want to express my gratitude for everyone's patience in regards to this update. This one is pretty major, and there's been a number of significant changes. So much so, it's easier to show what didn't change in this past update than what did. In fact, as demonstration:

And that's about it.
Jokes aside, Update 0.6.5 is full of clerical and clarity changes. There's been some small updates to flavor text, largely consistency of dates or expansion of context. And finally, there have been a few full on changes. What you can expect to find in the update is as follows:
- GMS FCS Scanner received some clarity changes.
The Licenses:
The Anis:
- Chaff Cannons reworded for increased effect clarity
- IRD MMP: Clown Car heavily simplified to avoid bogging down combat. Still the same system in spirit and feel, but the adaptability has admittedly been reduced, and can be argued as a nerf. The nerf, however, should make for a system that feels better to use.
- Tag Rifle received some simplification through action modals and clarification of text.
- Auto-Targeting received clarity of text and a slight nerf.
- "Quill" Drill received have changes to language and mechanics that work to create the same effect, but within the confines of how LANCER handles similar ideas. This should also help clarify the mechanics of the weapon. Also gained some additional action modals.
The Grackle:
- The mech itself received some stat and trait changes.
- Power Dependent functions differently, offering more freedom for the mech
- The Grackle did loose R-Ampage
- But Mobile Battery Drone is very different. Should feel less like a ball and chain and more like a useful extremity of the mech as a whole.
- Conduit Control CP has had a change in clarity of language, and it much more powerful, but also is more limited.
- Pylons got a side grade; they're a little stronger and their language is clearer, but you get less of them and the can no longer be recovered.
- Anti Boarding has had a clarification of effects.
- Static Veil has received a slight buff.
The Egret:
- Feedback loop and Static Silhouette have gotten a slight nerf.
- The UMB 11 has gotten a slight buff.
The Gruidae:
- The mech itself has received some stat changes. Over all a buff, to help it stay in the heat of battle longer.
- Power Loader trait given a general buff.
- Spring Tension trait changed in response to feast or famine concerns and concerns with talent requirements.
- Pallet Jack trait removed. Aside from clarity of effect issues, even when it was understood, the trait was rarely used. Gruidae no longer FL certified.
- Pallet Jack replaced with Tow Arm. Make rams hurt.
- Cargo Lock got some clarification of effect.
- Hard Load got a slight change. arguably more powerful, definitely simpler.
- Brace Lock got clarification of effects.
The Kea:
- Magnetic Generators work a bit differently. Less effective on environment. overall weaker.
- Circus Logic got some slight changes in wording, but, like the Generators, a slight nerf as well.
- I Scream received small nerf. May get a slight buff in future, if not outright reverting to previous version or previous version with save mechanic.
- Morrigan NHP got a clarification of effect. Technically a buff.
The Loon:
- Flash Freeze trait received small buff.
- Absolute zero has received clarification of effect, but also lost efficient.
- Ice Sheet is a bit more flexible, and slightly stronger, as well as getting a clarification of effects.
- Cold Front got clarification of effect.
- Cold Dive Heatless ally exploit patched.
- Cuel Rod received massive, but necessary nerf. Technically the system had been missing some of its limitations, but even without that, the system has been modified to something weaker regardless.
The Magpie:
- Sealant Foam received clarification of language
- Hardlight received a proper "off button"
- Tractor Beam received upgrade.
The Ossifrage:
- I have purposefully left something very broken in here, mostly to see its potential, but I won't say what.
- Clarification of Broadside trait effects.
- Like the Clown Car, the Fool Circus has been simplified.
- Fire Foam has been changed so it doesn't step on the toes of Cuel Rod or the Exotic weapon shielding.
The Harpyja:
- Stat changes to make the Harpyja less...terrifyingly powerful.
The Peregrine:
- Blinkspace Bomb got a name change.
- Unstable Slip received clarification o effect.
- Tele-frag received clarification of effect.
- Shunt loaders received clarification of effect and slight buff.
- Prism Gun received slight buff.
All in all, this is everything. This should be the last update of this size for quite a bit. I don't prefer rapid updates so this got held back for a bit while everything was double and triple checked. Hopefully these clarification of effect changes and balance changes make the LCP more fun to engage with. There, of course, will be more, so keep a lookout.
